In Honor of Mariana R. Scripps

This event was first organized by one of Mariana's granddaughters, Veronica Sanchez. With the help of her cousins and aunts and uncles a fundraiser event called Boot Scootin for a Cure was held in November 2008. All proceeds from that event went to the Health, Hope & Healing Cancer Resource Center to help with education and prevention of cancer. This year the family decided the proceeds from both events would again benefit the Health, Hope & Healing Cancer Resource Center  as well as the Hill Country Memorial Hospice . Because our direction to give to Hospice this year, we decided to change the name to Boot-Scooting For A Cause. This year we also have made an agreement with Austin Community Foundation and have become a special project fund under ACF.

Boot-Scooting for a cause is a member of the great family of non profits of Austin Community Foundation

Boot-Scooting for a Cause is a 501(c)(3) non-profit group and all donations are tax deductible. 

Schedule:

• Event gate opens at 5 p.m.
   
• KFAN's Doug Burns will be doing a  live remote from the event.

• 5:30 p.m. till 6:30 p.m.- Acoustic set by David Fenley 

• 7:00 pm till 8:30 pm - Chuck Allen Floyd
  

• 9 pm till midnight - Tejas Brothers

Raffle Tickets are now available for purchase. Raffle will be announced at the dance about 10:15 pm (need not be present to win).
